Who is Amitabh Chaudhry, Axis Bank's next MD and CEO?

Amitabh Chaudhry will succeed Shikha Sharma as the Managing Director and CEO of Axis Bank for a three-year period starting January 1, 2019. The 54-year-old IIM Ahmedabad alumnus was serving as the MD and CEO of HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company. Chaudhry has previously worked with Bank of America, CALYON Bank, and also served as the MD of Infosys BPO.
