Cai Qi, who was first senior Chinese official to shake hands with US President Trump after Xi Jinping, is considered Jinping's right-hand man. He has been serving as director of Communist Party's General Office since 2023. He oversees Xi's daily schedule and security coordination, among other things. Cai is believed to have access to Communist Party’s most closely guarded secrets.
