Who is Congress MP & Prof Akoijam, sacked by JNU for sexually harassing female students?

Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, 59, is a Congress MP representing the Inner Manipur constituency, an academic and filmmaker. JNU recently dismissed him as a professor for allegedly sexually harassing female students and filed a complaint, leading to FIR. Akoijam denied the allegations. He has also served on Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports and taught at DU.
