Who is IPS officer Deven Bharti, new Mumbai Police Commissioner?

A 1994-batch IPS officer Deven Bharti has been appointed as new Mumbai Police Commissioner. He hails from Bihar's Darbhanga and is an alumnus of Delhi School of Economics. Bharti, who was involved in investigation into 26/11 attacks, was one of the longest-serving joint commissioners of police (law & order) of Mumbai. Bharti also headed Maharashtra State Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).
