Salvadoran referee Ivan Barton, who will officiate the France-Spain FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final, has been an international referee since 2018. In the Turkey-Paraguay group-stage match, he enforced the 'Vinicius Law', sending off Paraguay's Miguel Almiron for covering his mouth during an altercation.
