Kapil Parmar, who won India's first-ever Paralympic medal in judo, hails from MP's Shivor village. He was born on June 23, 2000. His father drives taxi and sister runs a primary school. Kapil suffered severe electric shock during childhood due to which his vision was hindered and his fingers got stuck to each other. He took up judo in 2014.
