Who is Lt General (Retd) Syed Hasnain appointed as Bihar's Guv?

Lt General (Retd) Syed Ata Hasnain has been appointed Bihar's Governor. A decorated Indian Army officer, he commanded Srinagar-based XV (Chinar) Corps and XXI Corps before retiring in 2013. Post-retirement, he served as Chancellor of Central University of Kashmir and a member of National Disaster Management Authority. Hasnain was commissioned into the 4th Battalion of the Garhwal Rifles in 1974.
