Who is Mirabai Chanu, India's 1st gold medalist at CWG 2018?

Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, who won India's first gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018 on Thursday, was born on August 8, 1994 in Imphal and started weightlifting in 2007. She had become the second Indian woman after Karnam Malleswari to win gold at the World Weightlifting Championships in 2017. Chanu had also claimed silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
