Who is Padma awardee L Hangthing, also called Noklak’s Fruit Man?

L Hangthing, also known as Noklak’s 'Fruit Man', has been conferred with Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award of India. He is a fruit farmer from Nagaland's Noklak with over 30 years of expertise in cultivating non-native fruits. He introduced non-native fruit and vegetable saplings in his region and disseminated the knowledge to over 200 farmers across 40 Nagaland villages.
