Who is Padma awardee Libia Sardesai, a 100-yr-old freedom fighter?

Hundred-year-old Libia Lobo Sardesai has been honoured with Padma Shri by the government. As a freedom fighter, Sardesai played an important role in Goa's liberation from Portuguese colonial rule. She co-founded underground radio station 'Voz da Liberdade' (Voice for Freedom) in 1955, broadcasting anti-colonial messages in secret from jungles. She became first female lawyer to work in Goa courts.
