Who is Prabhakar Raghavan, Google's new Chief Technologist?

Google appointed its Senior VP Prabhakar Raghavan, who spent 12 years leading teams across the company, as its Chief Technologist. An IIT Madras graduate who also holds a PhD from UC Berkeley, Raghavan has over 20 years of research spanning algorithms, web search and databases, published over 100 papers, and holds 20 issued patents. He founded and led Yahoo! Labs.
