Who is Rajiv Jain, the new Intelligence Bureau chief?

The newly appointed Intelligence Bureau (IB) chief, Rajiv Jain, is a 1980-batch Jharkhand cadre Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, who joined the domestic intelligence agency in 1989 as an assistant director. Jain, the senior-most special director of the IB, handled crucial assignments of the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau in Ahmedabad (from 2005 and 2008) and in Delhi (from 2008 and 2012).
