Who is Rishikanta Singh, weightlifter who won silver at CWG 2026?

Indian weightlifter Chanambam Rishikanta Singh, who won silver in the men's 60kg event at the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2026, was born on July 5, 1998, in Manipur's Imphal West. A member of the Indian Army, Singh began his weightlifting journey in Imphal before training in Pune, Patiala and Bulgaria. He also won gold at the Commonwealth Championships in 2019.
