Cab-hailing startup Uber's newly appointed CEO Dara Khosrowshahi was earlier working as travel company Expedia's CEO since 2005, where he also managed global booking sites including Hotels.com, Hotwire, and trivago. Khosrowshahi was among the highest paid CEOs in the world with an annual pay package of about ₹600 crore. Prior to that, he worked as the CFO of IAC Travel.
