Oksana Markarova, who facepalmed during Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy's clash, is Ukraine's Ambassador to the US. The 48-year-old served in Ukraine's Finance Ministry from 2015-2020. Before a career in public service, Markarova spent 17 years working in private equity and financial advisory. The Rivne-born envoy, who holds BS and MS degrees in Environmental Science, is a mother of four.
