Who is Yusra Mardini, Olympian who crossed sea at 17 to escape war-torn Syria?

Olympic swimmer Yusra Mardini will be covering the Refugee Olympic Team for Discovery. Mardini, who grew up in Damascus, was 17 when she escaped from war-torn Syria with her sister in 2015. They arranged to be smuggled into Greece by boat. After the boat's engine failed, they pushed it until they reached Greece. Mardini competed in 2016 and 2020 Olympics.
