Who's Tejaswin Shankar, who won India's 1st-ever decathlon medal at CWG?
Tejaswin Shankar, who won bronze at Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2026 becoming the first Indian to win a decathlon medal at CWG, was born into a Tamil family in Delhi. The 27-year-old lost his father, Hari Shankar, due to blood cancer at a young age. Tejaswin is a three-time senior National Champion and a five-time junior National Champion in high jump.
