WHO warns against taking 4 Indian cough, cold syrups after 66 kids die in Gambia

The WHO on Wednesday warned against using four cough and cold syrups that are potentially linked to acute kidney injuries and 66 deaths among children in Gambia. The four contaminated syrups are produced by Maiden Pharmaceuticals Limited, in India, the WHO said. "WHO recommends all countries detect and remove these products from circulation," the organization added.
