Who was Mohammad Reza Zahedi, Iranian general killed by Israel?

Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, who was killed by Israel in Syria, was a senior commander in Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Zahedi joined the IRGC when he was 19 and rose through the ranks. Zahedi led operations in Syria and Lebanon and was one of the top figures facilitating Iran's support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government.
