Why Ajmeri Gate entrance of Delhi Railway Station is always packed

The Ajmeri Gate Terminal at New Delhi Railway Station is notorious for its constant rush with past incidents of stampedes due to its direct connection to the Delhi Metro and a large parking area. At least 18 people died and several were injured in a deadly stampede that occurred on Saturday night on the foot overbridge connecting platforms 14 &15.
