Why are children in South Korea suing govt over climate change?

A diverse group of plaintiffs, including children, have initiated legal action against the South Korean government over its climate change policies. The plaintiffs have claimed that the government's move over the crisis has been insufficient and is endangering their right to live a healthy life. Notably, South Korea has pledged to reduce carbon emissions by 290 million tons by 2030.
