Why are China’s Wangu gold veins being called unusual
Geologists in China’s Hunan province have identified massive gold veins potentially holding 1,000 tonnes worth $83 billion. The Wangu field stands out for its visible gold flakes and an extraordinary ore grade of 138 grams per tonne. While deep drilling at 3,000 meters presents extraction challenges, the find could rank among the world's largest deposits.
