Farmers from Punjab, Haryana and other states are heading to Delhi on Tuesday to attend a Kisan Mahapanchayat against the proposed India-US trade deal, alleging it could hurt India's agriculture and dairy sectors. They said the proposed deal could allow greater imports of subsidised US farm products by lowering tariffs, adding this would reduce farm incomes and affect rural livelihoods.
