Why are Iran's hardliners threatening Iran President with 'blade & his throat'?

Iran is facing a political crisis with hardline factions accusing Iran's top leadership of orchestrating a "soft coup" during US talks. During Ali Khamenei's funeral, sections of crowd chanted 'death to the compromiser' against President Masoud Pezeshkian. A hardliner also issued "us, blade and your throat" threat to Pezeshkian. Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei's absence is also fuelling the issue.
