People are more scared of dogs because dogs are usually larger, stronger and more visible in public spaces, Head Veterinarian Dr Vinod Sharma said. In most cases, stories about dog attacks generally create this perception that dogs are more dangerous, hence reinforcing their fear, he stated. This fear is not because dogs are more dangerous than cats, the veterinarian added.
