Why are Sri Lanka not featuring in Champions Trophy 2025?

Sri Lanka are among the four full member nations missing from Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan qualified as hosts, while the top seven teams from 2023 World Cup- Australia, India, South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, England, and Bangladesh- secured spots. Bangladesh (NRR -1.087) edged out Sri Lanka (-1.419) and Netherlands (-1.825) for the final spot.
