Why are thousands of young graduates leaving Italy?

Tens of thousands of young Italian graduates are leaving Italy, most of them blaming low salaries and little recognition for their skills, AFP reported. Italy has no national minimum wage, and salaries do not rise in line with the number of years spent in higher education. Furthermore, Italy's youth unemployment rate is 17.7%, higher than the EU average of 15.2%.
