In what appears to be a climbdown, the BJP looks set to field Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh from the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh. The party knows that sexual harassment charges notwithstanding, the strongman holds sway over his constituency. So, the announcement of his candidature is a mere formality.
