Why couldn't people buy GameStop shares: Elon Musk asks Robinhood CEO

The world's richest person Elon Musk, while speaking on Clubhouse app, asked Robinhood CEO Vladimir Tenev why people on its platform couldn't buy GameStop shares. Tenev explained that Robinhood had to restrict users from buying GameStop shares as it had to pay $3 billion in deposits to National Securities Clearing Corporation because of the surge in the volume of trade.
