China postponed its ambitious Chang'e-7 mission to search for water ice near the Moon's south pole at the last moment before lift-off. China Manned Space Agency gave no specific reason, but reports linked the postponement to a tropical storm near Wenchang Space Launch Site. The mission "cannot be carried out within the scheduled launch window this year", the agency said.
