Why did court invoke 'rarest of rare' doctrine, sentence UP couple to death for abusing 33 kids?

A special POCSO court in Uttar Pradesh’s Banda district termed the case ‘rarest of rare’ while sentencing a couple to death for sexually abusing 33 children over a decade and selling videos on the dark web. The court cited unparalleled depravity, systematic crimes across districts, extreme moral turpitude and no scope for reformation, the CBI said.
