Why did Gautam Gambhir quit politics ahead of Lok Sabha elections?

Former India cricketer turned politician, Gautam Gambhir on Saturday, March 2 announced his decision to be off political duties and has urged BJP President JP Nadda to "relieve" him of his duties. This step from the 42-year-old comes as he aims to focus on the "upcoming cricket commitments." Gambhir was roped in as mentor for KKR ahead of IPL 2024.
