Why did India reject $300-billion climate finance deal at COP29?

Indian delegate Chandni Raina said India rejected the new $300-billion climate finance package, proposed at United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29), as the amount was "too little and too distant". She alleged that India was not given a chance to speak before deal's adoption. She also called the process "stage-managed" and said it lacked inclusivity and is an "optical illusion".
