Why did Israel PM Netanyahu disclose his cancer diagnosis after a 2-month delay?

Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu said he delayed disclosing his cancer diagnosis by two months "so that it would not be released at the height of Middle East war". Netanyahu added that he also did this "in order not to allow the Iranian terror regime to spread even more false propaganda against Israel". He said that it has been "completely treated".
