Why did Saudi Arabia deport over 11,000 Indian nationals?

Recent data presented by India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in the Rajya Sabha has revealed that Saudi Arabia deported over 11,000 Indian nationals, surpassing the US and other countries, in 2025. The deportations are linked to visa violations, overstays beyond the validity of visas or residency permits, working without proper permits, and breaches of immigration or labour laws.
