Why did Sensex fall by more than 1,000 points today?

Sensex dipped by over 1,000 points on Monday after crossing 85,000 for first time on Tuesday. One of the reasons for the dip is that foreign institutional investors have shifted their focus to Chinese markets after Chinese government's economic stimulus measures. Additionally, rising tensions due to Israel-Lebanon conflict and growing uncertainty over US data are also contributing to the dip.
