The construction of 'Tower of Pisa', a bell tower for the cathedral complex in Pisa, Italy, first began in 1173. By the time the third storey was completed, the tower's foundation had begun to settle unevenly, owing to the soft ground. Even after numerous fluctuations in its tilt, the tower is estimated to remain stable for about 200 years.
