Why doesn't Champat Rai's resignation end his role in Ram Mandir Trust?

Champat Rai, who resigned as Ram Mandir Trust's General Secretary amid the alleged donation theft row, will continue as a member of trust even if his resignation is accepted. Under the trust's by-laws, a two-thirds majority is required to approve a resignation, and an office-bearer can only be relieved of their post and responsibilities. Rai resigned on June 27.
