Why exit polls for Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Puducherry are not out yet?

The exit polls of the recent Assembly elections in Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry are not out yet because of a ban by the Election Commission. The Election Commission has prohibited the conduct and publication of exit polls from April 9 until April 29 so that they don't influence ongoing voting. Exit polls may be out after April 29.
