Why has Shubman Gill been dropped from T20 World Cup squad despite being vice-captain?

Shubman Gill hasn't been included in India's T20 World Cup 2026 squad despite being vice-captain. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Suryakumar Yadav said he's a terrific and quality player and has been left out due to combination the team management wants to play. They added they felt wicketkeeper (Sanju Samson) at the top will give them more solidity.
