US Energy Secretary Chris Wright has said, "We've reached out to our friends in India to buy stored Russian oil. That pulls oil into Indian refineries and releases pressure on other global refineries." He added the move will keep global oil prices down. This comes as blocking of Strait of Hormuz by Iran threatens to spike oil prices to $150/barrel.
