Why India–Russia ties stay strong beyond their leaders

Runjhun Sharma, Head of News RT India, says India-Russia friendship predates Modi and Putin, built on decades of trust and defence cooperation. She calls Putin an “astute leader” who is portrayed as a dictator by Western media, but sees him as someone enabling multi-polarity. Sanctions, she adds, didn’t work as expected largely because of India.
