Bengaluru’s KH Road, popularly known as Double Road, has a history dating back to the 1950s. Once largely a mud track, the road was developed and divided into two carriageways as Bengaluru expanded. Its importance grew with the development of Jayanagar and other southern areas. The popular name has survived through the city’s transformation over the decades.
