Why is Broad Peak mountain considered dangerous?

Renowned Nepalese mountaineer Nirmal Purja died on Broad Peak after an avalanche struck the mountain. The 8,051-metre Broad Peak is often described as one of the more accessible 'eight-thousander' mountain. Its 1.5-km summit ridge exposes climbers to extreme conditions for long stretches. The upper slopes, particularly the section between Camp 2 and Camp 3, are prone to slab avalanches.
