France legend Zinedine Zidane's son Luca Zidane is representing Algeria at FIFA World Cup after FIFA approved his switch from France in 2025. The goalkeeper had represented France only at youth level, so he remained eligible to change allegiance. His Algeria eligibility comes through Zinedine's parents, who were of Algerian heritage. Luca was also eligible for Spain through his mother.
