Why is govt delaying key Q4, annual GDP data release by a week?

The government has shifted the release of India's provisional GDP estimates and Q4 GDP data from the last working day of May to June 7. The change aims to resolve a structural issue, as financial results of listed firms and central government accounts become available only at the end of May, limiting their inclusion in same-day GDP estimates, Mint reported.
