Why is Indian cricket team carrying fake trophy despite winning T20 World Cup?

The Indian cricket team is carrying a replica of the trophy won at the T20 World Cup as a traditional practice. The winning team receives a real trophy for the photoshoot after the final game, but it receives a replica trophy to take back to their country. The original trophy is flown back to the ICC headquarters in Dubai.
