Why is Pak Army replacing WhatsApp with China's WeChat, banned in India?

Pakistan Army has reportedly ordered military officers to gradually stop using WhatsApp for official communication and switch to China's WeChat, which India banned in 2020 citing national security concerns. Pakistan's move is aimed at reducing risks of surveillance, data leaks, and interception on Western messaging platforms. It could also improve its intelligence coordination with China.
