Why is Parliament technically still in session 11 days after being adjourned?

Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned sine die for an indefinite period, however, the Parliament technically still remains in session after eleven days. The session will formally end only after the prorogation notification is issued, which is usually issued within three to four days. The Parliament can be recalled without issuing fresh summons until it is prorogued.
