Why is Russia importing petrol from India despite being an oil giant itself?

Russia is importing petrol from India despite being major oil producer as Ukrainian drone attacks on its refineries have caused a severe fuel shortage. By late August, Russia's gasoline output had fallen to just 70% of domestic demand. Russia's petrol imports hit record 125,000 barrels per day in August as it turned to countries including India to fill the gap.
